Workshop on Wildlife Photography by India's First Woman Wildlife Photographer 2020 @ ICAT, Chennai
The Department of Photography, ICAT-Chennai has organized a wildlife photography workshop with World-Renowned arguably India's first woman wildlife photographer Rathika Ramasamy on 27th February. Her name has been mentioned in the 10th Standard Science text book of Tamil Nadu Government state syllabus. ICAT Students were eagerly waiting for such an interactive session regarding wildlife photography and they utilized every moment of it.
After a brief introduction, Our Dean welcomes Rathika Ramasamy with a guest of honor. She started the session with in-depth discussions regarding wildlife photography. From planning and research part to photo showcase with grammatical correctness, every single topic she covered with an in-depth explanation. She encouraged our students, shared priceless experiences and last but not least she was so happy to see that our students have not taken photography for a degree but to learn and pursue a career in photography. She mentioned basic ethical values in photography. One of our wildlife enthusiastic students presented one of his best wildlife photos to Rathika Ramasamy as a token gift on behalf of the photography department. She ensured to be present at any of our upcoming college events and a thanks note to all the students and the college administration.
