Animate Your Mind’s Eye on Screen
Making every novice learner comfortable to move forward through the module, the module starts with basic animation principles, and fundamentals of cell animation and digital animation. The students gain professional knowledge about the techniques of storytelling, cinematography, video editing and digital sculpture making techniques. They gain expertise in using industry-standard software to model characters, props and environments; and perform rigging, character animation, texturing, lighting and rendering. They are given practice on every important traditional and digital animation technique that would help them in producing competent animation movies. And not just movies, the students are prepared to address the animation needs of different industries, opening the doors of rewarding opportunities in Film, Television, Education, Medicine, Architecture and Automobile.
This 3-year specialist skill building at ICAT is conducted through a variety of proven learning methods, including classroom training, guided practice sessions, industry visits, professional seminars / workshops, showcase events to seek feedback from industry professionals and individual / collaborative projects that provide real-time experience. The students also take up internship at different organisations to gain real-time experience and develop their final project to demonstrate their specialist skills that will be the evidence of their expertise to potential employers.
