Workshop on ‘Travel Photography’ 2016 @ ICAT, Chennai

ICAT Design & Media College, Chennai organized a workshop on ‘Travel Photography’ on 8th of January, 2016. Mr. Saurabh Chatterjee conducted the workshop for UG Photography students. Being a travel enthusiast, Mr. Saurabh has travelled wide across India, capturing the rich heritage and flavor of our country. His work has been published in various national and international publications like National Geographic Traveller.

During first half of the session, students were displayed a few travel photos shot by Mr. Saurabh, that illustrated his inspiration and passion towards travelling and photography. Later, the students were taught how to research, plan and prepare for travel photography. The guest also shared how to influence and show ettiquite towards people while they are photographed.

During the second half, students were explained how to make use of the available light, long camera exposures and storytelling composition. At the end of the session, the students received valuable feedback of their travel photographs shot during their recent trip to Himalayas. In continuation to this workshop, students will be made to travel along with Mr. Saurabh on a Travel Photography trip.
