Workshop on Overview of AR, VR & MR 2018 @ ICAT, Chennai

A workshop on ‘Overview of AR, VR & MR’ was conducted at ICAT, Chennai on 12 April, 2018, by Mr. Mugundhan, Director of Creative Technologies Private Limited, Chennai. Around 40 students from Interactive media department took part in this workshop.

With an aim to give the students an idea of how Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality works, and how relevant products are developed, Mr. Mugundhan started with a discussion on AR, VR & MR kits, skills required to develop such products, and difference between AR, VR & MR. Then he moved on to discuss the current industry needs and how to pitch game concepts for these new technologies.

For the students to get a better insight of these technologies, he showed some game kits to the students and presented his latest game developed with the help of virtual card and Ingage app.

Further, there held a doubt clarification session, in which our students sought specific knowledge on these latest technologies and cleared their doubts.
