Workshop on Motion Graphic Techniques 2019 @ ICAT, Chennai

The department of Multimedia conducted a motion graphics workshop on 15th & 16th November 2019 at ICAT, Chennai. The students from UG, PG Multimedia and Visual Effects have attended the session. Mr. Palaniraj, Freelance Motion Graphics Designer presented the session.

The guest started the session by explaining students how Adobe After Effects application is used in the industry for digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing for post-production process of digital video production. He has showed the attendees how simple illustrate-animate workflow: from Illustrator – vector graphic – to After Effects – motion graphics. The main reason for conducting this workshop is to make the students to get an overview of the overall process from scene and character creation to a deliverable that can serve as a template and guide for future animation.

This workshop session helped ideally for the newbie to understand the basics of Illustrator and After Effects. Overall, it was a wonderful session for students with hands-on experience in motion graphics techniques and its nuances from an industry professional.
