Workshop on Manual Portrait & Digital Sketching 2021 @ ICAT, Chennai

On October 12th, 2021, the Department of Graphic Design conducted the workshop on ‘Manual Portrait and Digital Sketching’ at ICAT Design and Media College,Chennai. The faculties and students from various departments partici¬¬pated in the workshop. The guest of the day was -Mr.Rajmohan Ramamoorthy who is working as an Art faculty at Shasun Jain College for Women.

Initially, Mr.Rajmohan Ramamoorthy elevated the workshop with basic shading,lights and shadows in sketching. Later, he started sketching a portrait and explained about the strokes,shades and tactics to be used while sketching in a detailed way. The session is also to make students interactive and draw professionally. The students also showed interest and started sketching along with the guest.The mistakes and corrections were clarified by the guest.

The second session started digitally by the guest and he explained the steps and procedures used by an artist to sketch an art using the software. With the completion of Digital Portrait Sketching, the students were allowed to ask questions regarding careers in art and painting.
