Workshop On Luminaire Design 2024 @ ICAT, Bangalore

On January 24, 2023, the Interior Design department hosted a Luminaire Design Workshop that drew active participation from students across various departments. Engaged in a hands-on exploration of light fixture design, students creatively crafted illuminating pieces using an assortment of materials like balloons, cardboard, foam board, and paper cups.

To foster collaboration and diversity in design, students were organized into groups of five, each assigned a specific material. Individual guidance was provided, with a student mentor leading each group and faculty members also offering support.

The workshop served as a platform for cross-disciplinary engagement, encouraging students to push the boundaries of conventional design and explore the transformative power of diverse materials in luminaire creation.
