Workshop on ‘Landscape Painting' 2023 @ ICAT, Chennai

The Department of Visual Effects conducted a ‘Landscape Painting Workshop' led by Senior Lecturer Mr. Praveen Jacob on September 27, 2023. The participants were from various disciplines, including animation, game art and design, multimedia, and visual effects. Mr. Praveen started the workshop by sharing his personal experiences and the lessons he had gained through them. The interactive session with the students was followed by a display of his works. The rule of thirds and color theory were some of the topics discussed during the session. Students created their own landscape paintings after a live demonstration by Mr. Praveen. At the end of the workshop, all the artwork created by the students was showcased to the faculty and Regional Academy Head of ICAT. Overall, the session was an eye-opening and inspiring experience for our students.
