Webinar on Understanding the adult learners psychology and guide them for personality development 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore

The Mentoring committee of ICAT Design and Media college, Bangalore organized a webinar on ‘Understanding the adult learners psychology and guide them for personality development’ for the faculties of the institution. Renowned clinical psychologist Ms Shobha Managoli delivered an online session on 16th January 2021at 11am.

The webinar gave insight into the process of understanding the adult learner’s psychology and mentor the students in a scientific and desired way. She explained the aspects of all the aspects of understanding the young minds. She also emphasized that mentoring is not a one time activity and at times involves just being a good listener.

During the session, faculties shared their concerns and queries about mentoring and Ms Shobha helped them to clear their doubts very practically with her vast knowledge and practical experiences and case studies.

At the end of the session the participants realized that mentoring is more than teacher student relation, it’s more like a guardian angel for the student to listen to all his/her problems and find a mutually acceptable middle path. The mentor mentee relation goes beyond the boundaries of the institute and at times builds a healthy motivating inspiring life changing association with the students by clearing their cluttered minds and giving them the right direction and hope. The webinar will definitely help the faculties in performing their duties as mentors in a more effective way hereafter.
