Webinar on Portrait Painting 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore
2nd October every year, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi popularly called as Bapu is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti and is a national festival. He was a renowned entity who served a unique purpose in India’s journey to becoming independent in 1947. Mahatma Gandhi was a preacher of Ahimsa. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in various ways nationwide in memory of the brave Ahimsa fighter.
To Commemorate this special occasion, Animation Department, ICAT Design & Media College, Bangalore Organized a Webinar on Portrait Painting on 1st October, 2021.The Virtual session was held between 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM and the speaker was Mr. Tapan Kumar Roy, Associate Artist at Byju’s. The MC for the event was Mr. Jestin Mathew Bobby, Student of 3rd Year.
Mr. Tapan Kumar Roy ignited the creative potential in the young minds of our students by painting a portrait of Gandhiji in a step by step process, which elucidated this art. He also showcased his creative skills in drawing and coloring and the results were amazing pieces of artwork.
This joy filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students and staff members which motivated everyone to paint and the event was concluded by vote of thanks.
