Webinar on Leather Industry 2020 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Department of Fashion Design, ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore, organized a Webinar about Leather Industry on 3rd January 2021.

Ms Sonam Mondal was the guest speaker. She has an experience of 9 years in the industry and currently working in Fashion designer Label(s) The webinar started with a brief introduction about the invitee and then continued with knowledge sharing about the leather industry. Discussion also dwelled upon the scope of career of a fashion design student in the leather industry followed by product design and sampling process involved in a leather industry and basic classification of leather. She gave demonstrations on simple hacks to distinguish between actual leather and faux leather. Students had several questions in mind regarding the leather industry which came up during the Q & A session. After the webinar, students were assigned to a task to solve a general quiz on fashion. The webinar concluded at 2:00 PM with a vote of thanks to the guest speaker.
