Webinar on Interior Design for the Sustainably Minded 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore

On 28th September 2021, the IDS department, Bangalore Campus conducted its founder’s day which turned out to be a great success. We conducted the webinar on “Interior Design for the sustainably minded” which is very important in designing any type of the project. The speaker for the day was Ar. Shahul, Principal Architect at OLO SPACE, Chennai. He has specialized in Sustainable and Green buildings.

The speaker explained what sustainability is and about sustainable materials. “Why sustainability should be implemented & how” was the most interesting part of the webinar.

Mr. Shahul showed his own live projects and explained the features of sustainable materials. A very interesting case study was explained in the session. Rain water harvesting & solar panels were the special areas where the project was well designed in the concept of sustainability. Also the color concepts & the earthen materials used in the project were very knowledgeable. Students enjoyed the lecture well by interacting with the guest in the Question and answer session. The students and faculties from other colleges also attended the webinar and we have received positive feedback from all of them.
