Webinar on Green Renaissance by Dr. Gayatri Hela 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Fashion Design department Of ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore, organized an International Webinar on “Fashion Conscious to Fashion Conscience” from 16th to 18th September 2021. It was a 3-day webinar which focused on bringing out awareness on the path from fashion conscious to fashion conscience. The resource person for session 3 of 18th Sep 2021 was Dr. Gayatri Hela. The topic of the session was “Green Renaissance”.

Dr. Gayatri Hela. Ma’am, Founder & Managing Director Reseda Life Sciences Private Limited, Netherlands; is a Masters in Organic Chemistry - Photochemistry and Doctorate in Chemistry, dietary antioxidants. She founded Reseda Life Sciences Private Limited with a vision to reverse the impact caused by the excessive use of chemicals that deteriorate the immunity of humans and enhance the immunity of pests. Reseda uses rich alternatives like plant extracts and backs it by modern technology. She is also the founder Director of Ethnys Foundation, a foundation for like-minded, purpose driven individuals to Generate IDEAS & SOLUTIONS for “Reversing the impact created by the IRRATIONAL use of Chemicals' '. Ethnys Foundation brings together people from different backgrounds for a common cause. The motive is to knit a set of different people together to bring back the natural, happy, safe and healthier environment. Ma’am is also Founder Director of R2Phyto Corp (New Jersey, USA), Ethnys Foundation (Section 8 Company) and Orieus Labs Private Limited. Through this platform, she sowed a spiritual thought among the participants that “We all humans are part of mother earth” with time and technology development. We humans think we and mother earth are two different entities. She spoke about the existence of the green renaissance and its vital role in the current fashion industry field and also gave a brief on choosing the right products in our day to day life, which can help to make earth a better place to live. She concluded her talk, how new innovation in cutting edge technology rooted to traditional craftsmanship can have a huge impact on nature and people with respect to the dyes and colors.

Overall the session was appreciated and good valuable feedback was received. As a token of gratitude from the Department of Fashion Design, ICAT Design and Media College, a sapling was planted in the name of resource person – Dr. Gayatri Hela.
