Webinar on Elements of Interior Design 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore

The Interior Design Department of ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore, organized a webinar on “Elements of Interior Design - As part of design practice of Aangan architect’s” on 13th October 2021. AANGAN Architects was instituted in April 2001 with a motive of creating sensible and responsive design collaboration in fields related to built environment. The speaker for the webinar was Ar.Niti Shah, Senior Associate Architect in Aangan Architects at Surat. She has 6 years experience in teaching. She was also chief editor of Institute of Indian Interior Designers Surat regional chapter newsletter “Reflection” for 2 consecutive years.

Ar.Niti Shah explained the Elements of interior design and how they plan and design at Aangan Architects by supplementing with 3 major live projects with different criteria’s. She explained the features of design concepts, Colour palettes, Material boards, Furniture design & most importantly lighting design. The highlight of the session was how Raza & Bindu concepts are implemented in interior design. She also discussed managing difficult Client meetings, preparing project portfolios & interior landscape designs.

Students got inspired very much by the enthusiastic way in which the speaker dealt with all aspects and interacted well with the guest in the Q&A session. The students and faculties from other colleges who attended the webinar gave positive feedback. This will encourage us to conduct more such events in future.
