Webinar on Acoustics in Interior Design 2021 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Department of Interior Design, ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore organized a webinar on 25th Jan 2021. The Guest speaker was Ar. Shamlyn, associated with Lokesh and Architects, Chennai. The webinar was about Acoustics in Interior Design which is very important when it comes to interior designing.

The speaker reflected on the different Acoustics design in Institutional spaces like seminar halls, auditorium etc. The students acquired knowledge of how the Acoustics is done on-site and materials they prefer, what problem may occur during Acoustics. The session was very arousing as it was an interactive session; the speaker interacted with students and clarified many quarries regarding practical knowledge about materials, color schemes, behind the site practices, etc.

The speaker demonstrated by giving practical knowledge about how to tackle situations on-site, to contact vendors. Students acquired knowledge about Acoustics Installation on site. The design concepts, material selection, lighting fixtures layout and speaker layouts are additional knowledge provided to the students. The students and faculties from other colleges also attended the webinar and we have received positive feedback from all of them.
