VIVA MAGENTA 2023 - Fashion Founder's Day Celebration @ ICAT, Chennai

The department of Fashion Design conducted founders day "VIVA MAGENTA' 2023" on 11th january 2023 in which students of FDS showcased the installation works using various textile materials. A yarn installation of madras checks, a fabric chandelier, Hand embroidery wall hangings, Handloom weave installation to name a few. Keeping the theme in line with Pantone's Color of the Year 2023, the event is named after, the event was lit with the shades of viva magenta.

As part of the event, the department has organized fun events that's of fashion domain such as, oh my buttons, RIP the fabric, Untangle, Guess the logo etc., Students of various departments took part in all the fun events and won the gifts. The founders day celebration ended with a fashion show by the students of Fashion Design, where they dressed up as iconic characters. Some to mention as, Charlie chaplin, Princess diana etc., with appropriate accessories that completed the look.
