Visit to Chennai International Film Festival 2021 @ ICAT, Chennai

The 18th edition of the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF), organised by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) in association with PVR, was conducted at Sathyam Cinemas which was a 1-week event from 18th to 25th February. Students from the Department of Visual Media, ICAT-Chennai attended the event.

Around 90 films from 53 countries across various languages were screened during the event. Students had an opportunity to participate and watch several films like Arãna (Mexican), Identifying Thieves (Mexican), Funny Face (US), To The Ends of the World (French), On Way to Moscow (German), Soorarai Potru (Indian). These films portrayed the film techniques used in different countries. There were also many different masterclass sessions covered in the area of art direction, cinematography, editing, direction, costume design, acting and writing which were very informative to students.
