Visit to Amoeba Game Parlor 2018 from ICAT, Bangalore
The Interactive Media department, ICAT, Bangalore has organized a visit to Amoeba, the game parlor which is in Mantri Square Mall, on 24th September, 2018. The students of 1st year Game Design and Development, Game Programming, User Interface Design and Development and MSc Game Technology were the part of the outdoor visit.
The main objective of the game parlor visit was to get hands on experience on different gaming devices and get an exposure to diverse game play. The students witnessed people belonging to different age groups playing games. The students not only enjoyed games but also studied about games. The students paid attention to the target audience and their involvement in the games. The games like bowling, bike riding, car riding, shooting, hammer hitting attracted more people.
The students played various board games. The students analyzed the packaging, presentation and cost of the games. The User Interface Design and Development (UID) students came across eclectic interaction designs and out of the ordinary game User Interfaces.
