Vinayagar Chaturthi Celebration 2021 @ ICAT, Chennai

Vinayagar Chaturthi (Ganesh Chaturthi) is a festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed is said to be the remover of all obstacles. This day is considered auspicious, to bring wisdom, prosperity and good fortune for the upcoming year.

On September 9th, ICAT Chennai arranged Vinayakar Chaturthi 2021 celebration for our students. We hosted a competition in the name "Creative Vinayaga 2021" where our students have to make a Ganesha with any material available.

We had around 25 teams of students participate in this competition and made various Ganesha artefacts using tissues, quills, flowers, straw, clay, threads, papers, thermocol and many more which cheered up all of us today. We honored the top 3 models with trophies, and distributed medals to all the participants. The day ended with the Vinayagar Pooja at ICAT with all students and staff!!!
