Students Trip to Singapore 2016 from ICAT
We, at ICAT integrated adventure with knowledge seeking in our trip to Singapore to enhance our experience of learning. 28 students from Animation, Visual Effects, & Game Design departments along with 2 staffs reached the 'Lion City', Singapore on 4 April, 2016, to have a visit to Universal Studios.
The touring around the city was started on 5 April, 2016, by visiting the Universal Studios, the first of its kind in South East Asia. The park exhibited various themes like Hollywood, Ancient Egypt and Madagaskar, which gave a tremendous experience to the students. Our students compared what they have learned in the classrooms regarding animations, films, characters and game plays to the activities and events like Roller Coaster ride, the Transformer Show, the Mummy Show, 4D effect in the Theaters, adventure show of the animation movie character Shrek, the birds of Jurassic, Puss in the Boots and Madagascar, 'Light, Camera, Action' show and so on.
On 6 April, 2016, the students visited S.E.A aquarium and spent almost the whole day there enjoying the beauty and marvel of the water world. Fishes and other underwater creatures of different colors, shapes and behaviors gave pure thrill to the students. On the same day, they visited the majestic iconic "Merlion", an 8.5 meters tall statue with the body of fish and head of lion shooting water from its mouth.
The next day, some students opted for local sightseeing and some stayed back to enjoy the wonderful island in peace.
Overall, it was the most memorable days for our students and ICAT is proud to have arranged an enjoyable and knowledgeable trip.
