Trip to Gangtok & Darjeeling 2019 from ICAT, Chennai
The Department of Photography, ICAT, Chennai have organized an edutainment trip to Gangtok & Darjeeling to witness the queen of the hills and capture the beautiful scenery during the freezing winter.
In Gangtok, students visited Bakthang waterfalls, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point,Enchey Monastery, Flower Show, Ropeway,Chorten Stupa, Banjhakri Water Falls in one day sightseeing. The main interest of Gangtok was the second day of sightseeing as we went upto 13000ft to witness the snow covered Changu lake and Baba Mandir. Students enjoyed a lot and utilised the full day by taking breathtaking landscapes and trekking. It was an adventurous day also as it started snowfall once we had to start soon from Changu lake.
From Darjeeling tiger hills, students witnessed clear sun-kissed kanchanjungha range at an early morning. Another main attraction in Darjeeling was the Darjeeling Himalayan railways which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overall the trip was very successful and students experienced a different culture over there.
