"The Joy of Giving" @ Samarthanam Trust 2021 from ICAT, Bangalore

The joy of giving is indescribable because it takes a kind soul to give something from your life to others. It is not easy to do something for another person as this is not the normal way we live. One of the most important things for our own happiness is the act of giving joy, happiness, courage, and compassion to others. The more we give to others, the more we get from the universe. Your relative happiness will come from materialistic things but your genuine happiness will come from giving to others. As the famous quote by Winston S. Churchill “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” The More you give, the More you Receive.

National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of ICAT Design & Media college, Bangalore organized an event “The Joy of Giving” on 19th November, 2021 at Samarthanam Trust for the Specially Abled . A team of 5 staff members and NSS students conducted this event. We joined hands to enable the specially Abled by contributing for provision of Food & Stationery items. We also engaged the students with various fun filled activities like passing the ball game and also encouraged them to showcase their talent. People around the world are waiting for someone to hold them and be there if they require help. The more we can hold them and give our little time & compassion, it can make a big difference in their lives. These activities not only engaged them but also motivated and made them feel special and happy. We made something that could make a difference! And that made our day.
