Session on Research Techniques 2019 @ ICAT, Chennai

On 19-July-2019, 3:00 PM, a training programme was conducted at ICAT Design & Media College, on "Research" by our guest speaker Ms.Marlene Little, Deputy Head, School of Fashion and Textiles at Birmingham City University, Birmingham, UK.

The programme covered generic portion about Development & Evaluation of any research content, since we had hybrid crowd of faculties from different discipline. It was an interactive and interesting discussion on how one should perform a research from abstract till the conclusion.

Ms.Marlene commenced with how to choose research topics and finalizing it, progressively highlighting on how to originate any research and to develop a complete research plan structure. She also briefly defined about Quick Primary Research and Detailed Research Process.

Ms.Marlene shared her experience in the field of research & process on how to evaluate a dissertation document while being a guide. Overall, she insisted on development of independent and own content without prejudice which is the key to success.

Finally, the training programme concluded with few activities followed by individual presentations. Eventually, Ms.Marlene encouraged our faculties to work on educational journal and its importance and made the day delighted and also catechizes our thoughts to work more on our related research papers.
