Seminar on Portfolio Development 2019 @ ICAT, Bangalore

ICAT Design & Media Collage, Bangalore, organized seminar on Game Design and Development on 08/11/2019, for students of the respective departments. Mr. Rajesh SK, a senior game designer from GSN Games was invited as the guest speaker. Mr, Rajesh spoke about the industry and his journey/extensive experience in the industry of game design. In addition he spoke about GSN Games, its activities and engagements. He also elaborated in detail about the currently trending games and gambling games developed by his company. He eventually reflected upon, expectations of a design company from a newcomer in the field and how to develop a professional portfolio.

His talk also covered the role of a game designer in a company. He finally discussed about the role and relationship between game designers and game artists by explaining how a designer conceives an idea and how an artist physically executes it or give it a physical/ visual manifestation.

The seminar started at 11:00 AM and went on till 1:00 PM. A significant number of students from Game Design & Development dept., Game Art & Design Dept and User Interface Design & Development Dept, attended the session along with the faculty. 

We the students and faculties of the respective departments of ICAT design & media college, Bangalore, learnt a great deal about the industry and how the gaming industry works. It was enlightening and contained useful information. We extend our thanks to Mr. Rajesh for being with us and for sharing his knowledge.
