Seminar on Professional Practice Interior Design 2023 @ ICAT, Bangalore

The Department of interior & Spatial design organized a one day Seminar & workshop for the students in November 2023. Architect Vimal, our guest speaker, offered a comprehensive overview of the various phases in the design and construction of buildings, with a specific emphasis on interior design. The discussion began with the initial interaction between clients and designers, extending through the construction approval process. It covered technical aspects such as structural considerations, electrical and plumbing systems, and delved into the nuances of interior design. The speaker detailed the entire process of interior design, starting from client engagement and design development, all the way to the final execution phase. The lecture has provided students with a solid understanding of professional practices post-graduation, imparting valuable insights for their future careers in the field of interior design.
