Department of fashion design has organized a guest lecture for fashion design students regarding the basic information about how the Boutique runs in a custom and retail sections This Seminar was given by Ms. Dharani Arasi, Designer, Senior Fashion designer, Bandana Narula and Revathi Priyadarshini Production Head - Bandana Narula Designer Studio, .

The guest speaker threw a light on how a retail and custom section runs in a boutique segment right from the design to final product. The entire process was explained from a designer and a production head point of view to the upcoming designers. The lecture also focused on various activities done in boutiques such as material sourcing, design selections, handling different levels of customers, styling of the product for the photoshoot , pop up etc.

Overall this seminar encouraged the students to start up their own business.
