Seminar on Film Making Practices of Cinematic Staging and Composition 2023 @ ICAT, Chennai

The department of Animation organized a seminar on Film making practices of cinematic staging and composition on 23rd January 2023. Ms. Shivani, the creative lead at holocraft immersive was invited as a speaker for the session. The session began with Ms. Shivani explaining about the fundamentals of staging and cinematography in great detail. She then emphasized on other basics of visual storytelling such as rule of thirds and the golden ratio and framing of the subjects using those fundamentals. During the session, she encouraged the students to apply the fundamentals taught by drawing thumbnails. The session ended with a speaker Q&A. The goal of this session was to provide the students with an insight on the importance of Cinematic storytelling.
