Pongal Celebration’21 @ ICAT, Chennai

On January 13th 2021, ICAT Design and Media College Chennai, had celebrated “Thai Pongal” festival on account of Tamil harvest festival of South India. The staff members came with traditional attire and we joined together to make sweet pongal with rice, jaggery and nuts.While the sweet pongal start to boil and overflow we all thanked and honoured the farmers and nature by calling “Pongalo Pongal” in a chorus way. The event was followed by worshipping the sun, with the pongal we prepared and finally we ended the function by distributing the pongal and taking a group picture.
