Photowalk at Kapaleeswarar Temple Chariot Festival on March 15, 2022.

The Department of Photography, ICAT Design and Media College, Chennai organized a ‘Photowalk’ at Kapaleeswarar Temple on March 15, 2022. The photowalk was attended by the students of Visual Media Department and Photography.

It was a great opportunity for the students to learn and experiment the photo documentary style in photography where the photographs talk rather than words. Since it was the occasion of the Chariot Festival, a huge crowd was gathered at the temple and surroundings and the students learned to blend into the crowd and capture the best moments of the festival including the portraits. Photowalks like these made students realise and understand the outdoor light situations and the need to be very alert for unexpected moments to capture.
