Movie Club Event 2014 @ ICAT, Chennai

Students of ICAT Design & Media College, Chennai inaugurated the `ICAT Movie Club on 1st March 2014, making their first screening open to all movie enthusiasts. The launch was followed by student short films, ETHIRTHU NIL by Manikandan M, TEN NINE EIGHT by Pokarram Kailash Chowdary, YARI by Vijay Singh, THODARVOM by Mano G.

Initiated by the Visual Effects Department, regular movie screenings followed by discussions and analysis will be conducted for students during the afternoon of every 1st & 3rd Saturday. The club aims to establish a forum to exchange ideas on films and advertising, create awareness on industry trends, analyze historical and contemporary movie genres, recognizing excellence thereby helping to build a stronger platform for the student community. Long termplans of the club include organization of film festivals and seminars on films thus contributing to critical appreciation of movies.
