Make Your Own Ganesha Contest @ ICAT, Chennai

The Department of Media organized their annual “Make Your Own Ganesha” Ccontest on the 16th of September, 2015 at ICAT Chennai. The students split themselves into teams of 5 and created some wonderful masterpieces. Each team had an innovative idea on paper and succeeded in translating them into a physical model. It was creativity galore, from designing Ganesha out of typography to soap carvings to using ropes, coins, serial lights, glitter, paper cut outs, quilling, tetra packs, thermocol balls, vegetables, and even sweets —; there was no boundarys to the students’ir abundant creativity!

The 1st place went to the students of Communication Design, who addressed a very important issue – the after effects of immersing Ganesha idols in the water bodies and impact on the marine life., tThe 2nd place went to the “Sweet” Ganesha created by the first year students of M.Sc. Multimedia and the 3rd place went to team “Ganatetra” of P.G. Advertising.

No better way to kick start this festive season… May the Elephant God always be with all of us in all our endeavors!
