LEVEL UP 2023 - Game Founder's Day Celebration @ ICAT, Chennai

On 24th and 25th January 2023, Game Founder’s Day was celebrated by the Game Department of the ICAT Design and Media College at ICAT New Campus which led on to organizing an event “Level Up 2023”. Students and along with the faculties made some different types of carnival games such as Balloon shooter, Archery , Catch the ball, Tetris, Basketball toss, Guide the ball, Balance, Building bricks, Snowbowling with including horror games such as Escape Room & Psychopath room.

More than 150 Students from different Colleges participated in Different Game Tournament which beholded a prizepool of 15K Rupees organized by WOLFRAMMIT, a group of students and ex- students. Games such as Valorant , Fifa 22 , Smackdown Pain & Mortal Kombat 11 were different games for Tournament which ended with a good competitive and a smooth note.

Students and faculties from different department played carnival games with delight and amusement and also gave feedback for the games. Balloon shooter as the name defines for shooting the balloon and earning points, Archery was for shooting on a certain target, catch the ball was about some bunch of balls would fall in the self-made machine and person has to catch maximum of them win, Balance, Building bricks & Tetris was about balancing and building and breaking bricks, & Snowbowling helped in giving an actual sense of reality of bowling in snow. Escape Room & Psychopath Room was included as horror games where person have to find hint & clues to escape for find a way out.

As everything ended up happily after a week of hard work by the students and faculties, as a token of love to the students who conducted and participated we had our closing ceremony by 6 p.m, which started with a DJ party and the winners and runners of the tournament were rewarded with cash prize and certificates. One of the winners came all the way from Delhi to participate in the Tournament.
