Knowledge Sharing Session by Mr. Kishore and Mr. Ram Kamal 2018 @ ICAT, Chennai

ICAT Visual Effects Alumni, Mr. Kishore and Mr. Ram Kamal visited the campus on 23 January, 2018, to share their work experience in the industry with the First year VFX students and to motivate the students.

Mr. Kishore, Assistant Art Director, first shared his professional experience in working with both Indian & International Artists. He gave an insight to his role in major blockbuster movies like Theri, Mersal, Puli and the most expected 2.0. Kishore explained the importance of the extensive course module at ICAT, which provides intense knowledge and practice in model drawing, storyboarding, set modeling, creating Mood Boards, pre visualization, CGI and much more. He also shared few industrial techniques with the making videos of many famous movies, which made the session more interesting.

The session was continued by Mr. Ram Kamal, Visual Jockey and Motion Graphic Artist. He explained how he connected his knowledge on visual effects to his business model. He explained his interesting career transition from a small start up to a sustainability team at his home town.

The students and faculty of the Visual Effects Department greatly appreciate Mr. Kishore and Mr. Ram Kamal for their time and information provided to the young talents. The students were highly inspired and sought the confidence to achieve great heights.
