Knowledge Sharing Session by Assistant Art Director, Mr. Kishore 2018 @ ICAT, Chennai

Assistant Art Director, Mr. Kishore at ICAT Design and Media College Chennai sharing his professional experience working with Indian and International VFX artist. He had been associated with Filmmaking industry for over 4 years now, working with blockbuster movies like Enthiran, Puli,Theri, Mersal and the most expected upcoming movie 2.0. Under the leadership & guidance of the renowned production designer, Mr. Muthuraj.

On being asked by the students to explain about what Production Design is? Mr. Kishore briefly explained, Production design is not only that involves creative expressions but a lot of implementation of ideas. He also gave an exquisite explanation about the detailed process and development done on the production by using the scripts before filming. The basic design elements: progression of colors, composition and locations all comes in reality.

Being an art director Mr. Kishore spoke the importance of live and miniature set creation on which he majorly insisted on proportion, scaling, and perspective. He also explained the process that had been followed in gaming industries.

He advised the students to concentrate on what they want to do and do it, while constantly re-inventing and rediscovering themselves with every new project. He also said that the combination of the correct time, correct location and correct season is a surefire method to make a scene stand out.
