Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration 2024 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Icat Design & Media College, Bangalore marked the celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava on November 12, 2024 with a series of cultural events. It was celebrated with great pleasure, delight, and dynamism. One student adorned the attire of “Karnataka Ambe,” the goddess of Karnataka and another embodied the role of King Kempegowda. They received a warm welcome with Aarathi and the joyful burst of the crackers. Prayers and pooja offered to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari marked the beginning of the events. The Karnataka state flag was hoisted by the College Principal followed by lighting of the lamp.

On the occasion, Karnataka folklore songs were sung and dance performances elevated the warmth of the celebration.There was a Band presentation the drums added to the already prevailing energy and vigor. A welcome speech was presented in Kannada which spoke about the importance of the day and the Kannada language. Both faculty and students embraced the occasion by donning traditional attire of their choice. Lunch was provided by the College on this occasion. Many fun games were also organized by the ICAT Cultural Committee. The indefatigable spirit of ICAT Art and Design committee and students helped to decorate the campus with their innovative ideas and skills.The success of the event was attributed to the enthusiastic participation of both students and staff, reflecting a shared commitment to honoring Karnataka's cultural heritage. Everybody contributed to making this celebration a dignified and memorable one. The energy, enthusiasm, and traditional looks added to the vibrancy and beauty of the event.
