International Animation Day Celebration 2022 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Generations of people have enjoyed seeing animated films. It can be something that makes you laugh or feel shivers down your spine. It might be something to laugh about or something to lament about. Anything you want can be animated. Your imagination is the only restriction.Some individuals believe animation to be a recent concept, yet this is false. Animators have existed for hundreds of years. Animation was being practiced already by the ancient Egyptians. Archaeologists have discovered jars with various frames from a particular image that was moving around.It was an event to celebrate the art of animation, a legacy that has been handed over by generations by artists , worldwide. ICAT Design & Media College, Bangalore celebrated Animation Day on 18th November, 2022.

A plethora of events witnessed during the celebration like cosplay with ramp walk , Dub the Clip, Quick sketching , T Shirt painting & Mascot Creation. The students participated enthusiastically in all the events with fun and joy. We should specially mention selfie corners, instant mood lifters. The students of the Animation department, who conducted the events, had a great time interacting with the participants and watching them explore their creativity.

Prizes were given out to the winners once the contest had ended. An experience like an Animation Day gives kids the ability to demonstrate their leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities as they connect with one another and take on new challenges. We would especially want to thank the students who made this event memorable.
