Industrial Visit to the Weavers Service Center in Kanchipuram 2024 from ICAT, Chennai

The Department of Fashion Design organized an Industrial Visit to the Weavers Service Center in Kanchipuram.

During this visit, the students learned about the entire handloom process, which includes design, cost, marketing, and production of silk sarees. This helped them to grasp how the loom operates. The individuals have witnessed an array of saree and design creation procedures, and they have acquired an understanding of the meticulous process involved in the evolution of the silk saree and its unique marketing approach.
