Industrial Visit to TechTree IT Systems 2017 from ICAT, Bangalore
On 28 February, 2017, the Interactive Media students from ICAT visited TechTree IT Systems (P) Ltd, Bangalore, which is a digital solution provider in various sectors including, eCommerce, Mobile, Cloud and Gaming.
At TechTree, Mr. Harish from the HR department welcomed the students. Then, Mr. Avinash, Marketing Lead at TechTree gave a presentation, in which he introduced the students to the different digital solutions that the company works on and gave a brief about their Game Production house, Nukebox. The presentation was further carried out by Mr. Peet, Mr. Rahul and 5 other personnel in the Lead position of the Art, Design, Production, Sound, Testing and Development departments. They briefly explained about how a game development process is carried out by all departments, which software they use for design, development and testing, and more. The presentation was concluded with a Query Clarification session.
Then, the Game students were taken to the work station, where character modeling, adding of sound to a game, testing of games, duration for testing, game development cycle, work scheduling and designing were explained in detail. At the same time, UID students met Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Kush Bharadwaj, who explained the students about Web/app UI design and development process right from getting the requirement from clients, developing paper prototypes using stencils and exact measurements, to finally delivering the product. They also introduced students to latest technologies like Adobe Experience Design.
Overall, the visit was knowledgeable for Game and UI students, and even for the faculties.
