Industrial Visit to Ken Interactive Pvt Ltd 2018 from ICAT, Bangalore

The second year students of Game Design and Development were taken for industrial visit to Ken Interactive Pvt Ltd on 31 october 2018. Ken focuses on building learning-based games across a wide range of domains which enable Competency Development, Enhances soft skills such as Communication, team building, Leadership development etc.

Ms Swetha Gabriel, HR Manager of Ken Interactive Pvt Ltd initiated the session by explaining about their evolution in the industry. Their company is more keen in creating serious games targeting Human skill development. She also added that “Ken is US based company specialised in bringing forth skill based games by complementing client applications”.

Ramya Badami, Marketing head gave an inspirational speech to the students regarding creativity, customer analysis and selling a game. She also encouraged them by revealing the market need and game demand in the industry.

Further the students were bound to interact with various designers, developers, artists and testers in the company. Students were exposed to game production, right from idea generation, prototyping, character sketching, 3D modelling, interface design and so on till achieving the final game output. They also introduced students in the field of Game Testing with trends and principles followed in their industry. Practical Exposure to the Game Development Life Cycle was accomplished.

Students thoroughly relished the visit and benefited in-depth knowledge about Real time experience in a gaming industry.
