Guest Lecture on Printing Processes & Technology 2022 @ ICAT, Chennai

The department of multimedia organized a seminar on printing technology on November 21, 2022. An invited speaker for the session was Mr. V. S. Narayanan, General Manager—Technical, Dinamalar. He has in-depth technical experience in the printing sector over 40 years. He had started the session talking about prepress after continuing on to press for printing. He had shared a video explaining each step of the printing process, from the feeding unit used to feed newspaper paper into the press, plate-making (CTP), inking, printing, and folding units used to bundle the printed paper inside at their print unit. He explained how each unit automated the process using world's best procedures and equipment.

The session was interesting and informative overall.
