Graduation Showcase 2016 of ICAT Design & Media College, Bangalore

Graduate Showcase 2016 of the ICAT, Bangalore students was conducted on 25 June, 2016, at Garuda Mall, Magrath Road, Bangalore. The event was honoured by the presence of Mr. K. Kumar - Founder & Managing Director of IMAGE groups, Mr. R. Madhan – Operations Director of IMAGE groups, and Mr. V. Anand – Technical Director of IMAGE groups.

We also had a guest of honour, Ms. Sonia Manchanda – Founding Partner of Spread and Principal Designer & Co-Founder of Idiom. She has ensured that design plays a key role in the emergence of sectors like healthcare, education, retail, hospitality, sports, media, entertainment and even the challenges that growth brought to the city of Bangalore. She has also led a team of designers to create the identity system for the 19th Commonwealth Games and helped design the look of Delhi for this event.

The Graduate Showcase event kick started at around 11 am with ribbon cutting and lighting of the lamp. Then, the guests went through the exhibits of the students and gave their valuable feedback to the students. The students also had an opportunity to have a design discussion with the guest of honour.

Following the exhibit, a fashion show was organized by our Fashion Design students at 6 pm. The students had professional models walk on the ramp wearing the costume designed by our students with the guidance of our faculty members. It was an applauding show of outstanding costume by our students.

Overall the event was a great send-off to the graduates with a better outlook to the industry and with motivating words from the leaders.
