Field Trip to Shivanasamudra Waterfalls 2020 from ICAT, Bangalore

The Department of Photography, ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore, arranged for a field trip to Shivanasamudra waterfalls in Chamarajanagar District on 13th December 2019. This locale made an excellent place for our students to showcase their photographic skills.  Students were excited and enthusiastically taking pictures of the famous Barachukki Falls.  All had a good time in capturing the essence of the nature and historic designs and sculptures.

The trip was also to make them learn the practical skills of outdoor lighting such as how to expose to natural light and how to measure outdoor guide value, how to shoot sunburst, use filters ND, CPL & GND (Travel & Nature) in photography, how to do long exposure using ND Filters, Bouncing Light using reflector and defuse hard light into soft using diffuser.  The students actively participated and experimented using all techniques of photo shoots which was taught to them by clicking loads of pictures.

The tour organized by the college combined leisure outing with loads of learning of photography skills. This tour added rich experience to the students and will go a long way in honing their Photography skills.
