Field Trip to Mahabalipuram 2019 from ICAT, Chennai

On 6th November 2019, ICAT Design and Media College, Chennai, the department of VFX arranged for a field trip to Mahabalipuram town in Chengalpattu district. This jaunt made an excellent opportunity for our students to rehearse photography.

Students were excited and enthusiastically taking pictures of the famous Krishna’s Butter ball, Pallava caves, Light house & the gorgeous temple replicas. All had a good time in capturing the essence of the historic designs and sculptures.

The trip was also extended to visit Dhakshinchitra, a cultural living museum of art, architecture, lifestyles and crafts of South India, where our students actively explored the heritage and contextual exhibitions of the different south indian casita by clicking loads of pictures.

To all intents and purposes, it was, an exploring and practicing tour organised by the college.
