Field Trip to Goa by Photography department 2022 from ICAT, Bangalore

ICAT Design and media college organized a field trip for Bsc Photography 2nd year students to Goa for 6 Days from 7th Nov to 13th Nov,2022.

This trip was planned under the Documentary Photography Module, So accordingly the tour itinerary was planned.

Students were made to stay in a hostel named House of Memories , in Candolim Goa, which had inhouse book corners ,indoor games like table tennis and many musical instruments,and a food facility.

Daily from 5am to around 11 am and then back from 4:00 pm to 7pm students were taken to different locations for a photowalk.

During the photowalks students were guided into a direction to notice and observe the different elements present in the surrounding nature and how to bring out a photograph from that. Students were taken to old portuguese quarters , in Panjim, where they were made to observe different colors,shapes, lines etc from those old architectures , and were supposed to shoot the early morning life around those streets.

Same way from different different locations like Chapora fort , Vagator beach, Night life of Goa at Anjuna beach,Baga beach,Calangute beach and Agodafort, different different students picked up topics as fisherman’s life around beach, few started shooting the life on a beach,landscapes, etc.During all these shoots they worked on improving their compositions, And created some good pictures,from street , architecture and some very beautiful landscapes.

Apart from all these technical things they were also made to realize a few things like how to be smart being a Photographer during travel shoots. How to take care of their gadgets and belongings during travel and tours, and were made to understand the communication skills
