Education Trip to Dakshinachitra 2018 from ICAT, Chennai

The Interactive Media Students of ICAT Design & Media College experienced a great move in education trip. The students of L4 Game Programming, Game Design & Development and UI Design & Development along with faculties have visited to the Dakshinachitra. Its a one day trip held on 26th September 2018.

The purpose was to conduct first hand research on various states’ cultures like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. It’s a very good opportunity to develop their skills in various people’s cultures and living style.

They exhibit many different things like people living styles, variety of furniture, Design different wooden materials and houses, Rock building, Clay building roofs are made up of husk, Different religious Statues of God and Goddess, Ceramic kind of materials, Different religious cloth styles, Different cloth materials like cotton, silk and making these materials like different weaving machine, Art, Pottery, Art Gallery, Making pot by using clay materials. Students have seen lot of the things which kept for sale like old board games, cloths and statues.

Overall, it was a great experience for the Interactive Media students getting to know various cultures and living style which help them to develop a more open mind personality.
