Drishtikone 2016 – A Collaborative Photography Exhibition from ICAT, Bangalore
ICAT Design & Media College, Bangalore hosted its second annual Photography exhibition, “Drishtikone 2016” at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, Bangalore from 5th to 7th of February, 2016.
The event was inaugurated by one of the eminent, award-winning photographers of the country, Mr. Sudhir Ramachandran. He went through all the 60 and more photographs collectively displayed by our students and faculties, and gave his valuable feedback to the photographers. Later he addressed the students, during which he insisted upon the importance of sincerity and vision in ones work, and expressed his happiness over the work on display. He further gave many examples from his personal experience to inspire the students.
Mr. Mahesh Bhat, another well-known Photographer also visited the show and shared his feedback with the students.
The students were also made to sit through a Q and A session with the guests, during which they discussed the difference between Black and White Photography and Colour Photography and so on.
There were about 2000 visitors, who looked at the exhibits over the period of three days and gave a lot of positive reviews. Students had an experience of explaining their works to people from different walks of life and got to know their feedback.
Students who were part of the show thanked ICAT for giving them a platform to showcase their work.
