Drishtikone 2015, Photography Exhibition from ICAT, Bangalore
ICAT Design and Media College, Bangalore conducted its first Photography Exhibition “Drishtikone” at “Vismaya Art Gallery”, Rangoli Metro Art centre, MG Road, Bangalore on 21 & 22 March, 2015. Mr. Kumaran, a renowned Advertising Photographer was the Guest of Honor, who inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
The exhibition showcased the photographs of ICAT students and faculties that were shot across various genres ranging from portraits to landscapes to wild life. There were around sixty five photographs displayed, some photographs like ,”Kiss of life” by Ranajit Roy, “Ajji Mane” by Nigam P Mukherjee, “Pick your Color” by Abhilash are some of the favorites of the viewers, that was evident through their testimonials. The cover picture of the exhibition “Where will I hide my innocence?” was by Sourim Pal, II UG Visual effects student.
Mr. Kumaran, appreciated the efforts of the students and gave them words of encouragement to pursue their career in photography.
There were around 2000 visitors from different walks of life enjoying the exhibits, whoshared their appreciation and feedback.
The event was very successful in terms of number of visitors, feedback and motivation for the students to explore the field the future.
