Diwali Celebration 2019 @ ICAT, Chennai

Diwali is one of India's biggest festivals. The word 'Deepawali' means rows of lighted lamps. It is a festival of lights and all celebrate it with joy.

ICAT, Design and Media College, Chennai, have organized Diwali celebration on Oct 18th 2019.

On this bright day, we conducted a competition titled "Creative Lamp Contest".

ICAT students came-up with innovative lamp ideas and showcased bountiful lamps made of diyas and other materials.

For appreciation, Trophies were given to the top 3 best endeavors of the lamp contest of the day.

Eventually, all our students and staff were also dressed up in Indian Traditional Wear. Students very much enjoyed burning crackers with each other and also distributed with diwali sweets & snacks.

Last but not least the show ended up with colourful cultural event “Dandiya Nite”and made the sparkling, and it was a great pleasure to watch ICATians raas.....
