Dept. of Fashion Design Students Showcase 2021 @ ICAT, Chennai

On December 15,2021, ICAT-Chennai organized a Student Showcase 21 to highlight the students' talents. The department of Fashion Design students showcased their works. The students of first year showcased a Reflective Visual Journal of Introduction to Textiles, Fashion art and Design, Basic Pattern making and Basic Computer. The students of second year showcased a Reflective Visual Journal of History of Indian costumes, Garment Manufacturing Technology, Fashion Apparel Design, Pattern Making & Construction I and Fashion Sketching & Accessory Design along with their course works. The students of third year showcased RVJs of Apparel Costing Techniques, Theater Costumes and Draping for Fashion Design. The students explained their work to the jury member. An external jury member from R&D was invited to evaluate the students' work. He encouraged the works as well as recommended the students to enhance their work standards by informing them about the current trends of the industry.

The friends, parents and relatives of the students visited the showcase to see the exhibited works. The students got a new experience in explaining their works to the audience.
