Deepawali Celebration 2022 @ ICAT, Bangalore

Diwali, the festival of lights, a Hindu religious festival and one of the most important festivals within Hinduism was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at ICAT Design and Media College. It was celebrated on October 21st. Different events were conducted as part of Diwali celebrations in the college where every student and faculty members were in traditional/ethnic wear. The speech delivered as part of the celebration emphasized on how the festival has got its own inner significance of lighting the lamp of soul and mind to drive away sorrows and negativity. There was a gift distribution for “House keeping”. The gifts were handed over by the principal of the institution followed by a variety of fun games organized both for students and faculty members. Sundarikku pottu thodal, pick the chit and do the act were some of them. The festival is incomplete without sweets. There was sweets distribution and bursting of crackers.
